Albert Walter "Sparky" Lyle (born July 22, 1944) is an American former left-handed relief pitcher who spent sixteen seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1967 through 1982. He was a relief pitcher. With the Yankees, Lyle was a member of the World Series champions in 1977 and 1978, both over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Sent a LOR, a SASE, and 1 trading card on 07/01/20 and received my card back unsigned on 07/13/20. It was sent back in the return envelope I sent so he chose not to sign. Address used: 2906 Santa Maria Dr. Gilbertsville, PA 19525-9322. On my first attempt, I used the wrong address.

Sparky Lyle Success! - December 19th, 2014
On December 11th I sent a LOR, envelope,baseball, and 20$ dollar donation to Mr. Sparky Lyle ( Former MLB player- Yankees) They announced that he would be signing autographs for people who donated. He is the current manager of the Somerset Patriots baseball team in New Jersey. They were having their annual Christmas Toy Drive. I heard about this event via twitter and figure I would send. I did not not mind sending a donation since it is for a good cause. I even sent it via priority mail to ensure that it would get their on the 12th when the toy drive was and it figured that it gets there a day later after the event occurred. However, today December 17th, I receive my envelope back with my original ball back unsigned! but I received a letter from the coordinator thanking me for the donation and that Mr. Lyle will not be back till the start of the season, but he had signed some extra balls at the event and they wanted me to have it as a thank you. It all seems legit to me as the signature matches ones i found on the internet. Very cool!!
