SIR ALEC JEFFREYS (INVENTOR OF DNA FINGERPRINTING) SUCCESS!! - 2015年12月17日
Professor Sir Alec Jeffreys is an eminent British geneticist responsible for inventing and developing DNA Fingerprinting (1984) and DNA Profiling (1985). These pioneering methods of biological identification, globally revolutionised crime detection, the resolving of paternity cases, and thus opened up a whole new area of forensic science.
From 1984 until 1987 (when his practices were commercialised) his laboratory at the University Of Leicester was the only place in the world that could provide these unique techniques and was inundated with international enquiries.
In 1994 he was Knighted by the Queen for his work.
As this is the 30th anniversary of the creation of DNA Profiling I thought I'd write to him at the University Of Leicester where he lecturers on human genetics.
