Roger Metzger Baseball - 2025年9月23日 Roger Henry Metzger (pronounced "Mets-ger", born October 10, 1947) is an American former Major League Baseball shortstop who played most of his career for the Houston Astros (19711978). He also played for the Chicago Cubs (1970) and the San Francisco Giants (19781980). A light-hitting shortstop, he was known for his strong defense and good running speed. He retired at age 32 because of the after-effects of a hand injury.
